Gillian Davies was born and raised on Vancouver Island and has worked as a legal assistant in Victoria since 1996. The bulk of her experience is in the field of personal injury litigation, though she also has some experience in family law and conveyancing.
Gillian’s interest in insurance defence litigation began in May of 2001, when she worked with in-house lawyers at ICBC. She started as a legal assistant, but eventually further pursued her education obtaining her paralegal diploma and transitioning into a paralegal position in 2011.
In 2013 Gillian moved from insurance defence to Plaintiff personal injury claims which consequently has given her a well-rounded background of experience and skills relating to personal injury claims and the litigation process. Gillian joined the Carfra Lawton LLP team in October 2018.
What is your perfect meal?
I love to cook, especially Sunday night roast beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings.
What is your deepest obsession outside of work?
Sports and my children’s sports. You can regularly find me in the stands of my son’s hockey games or my daughter’s softball games.
I also enjoy playing softball each spring and summer; soccer each fall and winter; and I also golf year round.
What is your favorite location to travel in BC?
While I find all of BC beautiful, I love to travel on Vancouver Island. I never want to be very far from the ocean.
