Backed by thirty years’ experience, Kelly McCullagh is an insurance defence lawyer who is not afraid to make decisions and take action. Her innate ability to communicate effectively with the many people and personalities involved in a claim often can help her achieve early and cost effective settlements in challenging cases.
Kelly’s exceptional knowledge of the medical issues involved in severe injury claims has been enhanced by her continued commitment to further her education on these complex and evolving topics. She is able to use this knowledge and experience to identify and work effectively with the most suitable experts for each claim.
Kelly has built a reputation as a conscientious and fair defence lawyer with an ability to make highly complex issues easily understood. While settling a claim quickly and efficiently is the aim, Kelly always is prepared to take a claim to trial if needed. She has extensive courtroom experience in the BC Supreme Court and also has handled numerous appeals in the Court of Appeal.
What is your deepest obsession outside of work?
When I am not practicing law, you can find me riding my horses, something I have been doing even longer than I have been practicing law. I have two competition horses and I compete with both in local hunter/jumper competitions. Eric Lamaze need not fear, but I like to give the local riders, most of whom are less than half my age, a run for their money.
