Tony Des Lauriers
Tony was born in Vancouver, BC but spent many years living in rural southwestern Ontario.
Tony has gained extensive experience in personal injury litigation working largely on the defence side but he has also done some plaintiff-oriented work. He also has experience with construction litigation, human right matters, family law procedures, and Civil Resolution Tribunal matters.
Tony started working in personal injury as Legal Administrative Assistant in 2010 with a Vancouver based firm, who immediately began training him as a paralegal working on Plaintiff matters, while he attended night classes at Capilano University to obtain his paralegal certification.
Tony’s enjoys the work that he does. As a way to make a difference for people using the skills he has, he volunteers as a triage manager at a community based legal help workshop geared towards self-represented people. He is a member of several committees within this group as well as other community organizations.
What is your favourite location to travel in BC?
It is extremely hard to choose just one place as a favourite when speaking about beautiful British Columbia. That said, I most look forward to traveling to Ucluelet, on Vancouver Island. A close second would be the Okanagan.
What is your deepest obsession outside of work?
I would have to say that I most enjoy spending time with my siblings, of which I have eight, and all of my nieces and nephews. Family get togethers are not just reserved for holidays and special occasions with us.
What is your dream car?
Tesla Model 3. What’s not to like?
