Kismet is an Executive Member of the Victoria Bar Association and is currently responsible for organizing continuing legal education courses for the local bar. She previously served as a Chair of the Victoria Persons Day Breakfast, Legal Education and Action Fund. She has presented to community groups and insurance industry clients on a variety of legal topics, including Small Claims Court procedure.
Areas of Practice
Before joining Carfra & Lawton, Kismet enjoyed a barrister and solicitor practice that included a variety of practice areas. Kismet has attended regularly in Supreme Court Chambers and assists with trial preparation on major loss files. She conducts trials regularly in the BC Provincial Court. Since joining Carfra & Lawton, Kismet has focused her practice in the areas of personal injury and insurance law.
