Prior to entering the law profession, Trisha worked for eight years in the airline industry. She also co-owned a commercial landscaping company in the Lower Mainland. While in law school, Trisha worked in the area of environmental policy with the Ministry of Environment. She also received the Canadian Bar Association Financial Services Corp., Law School Achievement Award.
Trisha is the 2009-2010 Chairperson of the Canadian Bar Association Young Lawyers of Victoria section. Trisha also volunteers for Lawyers Right Watch Canada (”LRWC”), which is a committee of Canadian lawyers who promote human rights and the rule of law by providing support internationally to human rights defenders in danger. As a member of LRWC, Trisha acts as the monitor of human trafficking and liaises primarily with Indian-based NGO’s acting to fight the trafficking of women and children in that country. When she is not at work, you will find Trisha hiking BC trails or scaling rock faces with fellow climbers.
Areas of Practice
Trisha completed her articles at Carfra & Lawton in August of 2008. She has since joined the legal team of Carfra & Lawton as an associate, where she focuses her practice in the area of insurance litigation, Strata Property litigation, municipal and occupier’s liability, administrative law and personal injury.
