In the insurance industry, conflicts between claims are common. Most of our clients agree that if a case involves subrogation, we may prosecute a claim against one of their insureds. Carfra & Lawton does not prosecute subrogation claims against insureds for whom we have acted in the past, and except in unusual circumstances, our policy is to avoid bringing direct action on behalf of an unsubrogated claimant against one of our insureds’ clients.
