Giles is a member of the Victoria Bar Association and the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition. He is a keen cyclist and yachtsman. He practiced law in Queensland, New South Wales and England prior to being called in Ontario. Giles has conducted both jury and non-jury motor vehicle accident trials in the Superior Court of Ontario as lead counsel.
Areas of Practice
Giles has developed extensive experience in insurance defence litigation, with a focus on personal injury arising out of motor vehicle accidents. He has also worked on subrogated actions along with property, construction, municipal, and bad faith litigation.
Likewise, Giles has a background in commercial litigation, contractual disputes, and defamation in Australia and Canada.
