Margot A. Liechti

Associate

Margot Liechti practiced law in Vancouver for five years before relocating to Victoria with her family in 2018. Her litigation practice focuses on insurance and commercial matters, with an emphasis on fire and property loss claims, personal injury defence, occupiers’ liability, environmental matters, and subrogation. She appears at all levels of the courts in British Columbia.

Before becoming a lawyer, Margot spent almost a decade teaching science, English, and math. She now volunteers with legal educational programs and co-authors a regular column for the International Association of Arson Investigators Journal. She is also a mental health advocate, and volunteers on a Board of Directors for a local charity that provides counselling services to the Greater Victoria community.

“I’m a passionate advocate for mental health issues and volunteer my time in the field. I also enjoy the outdoors and hiking with my family.”
