Laura D. Soproniuk

Laura is a civil litigator with a broad insurance defence practice, including matters involving personal injury, health law, human rights, and construction disputes. She joined Carfra Lawton after completing her articles and summering with a multinational firm in Edmonton, Alberta.

Laura earned her law degree from the University of Alberta. During law school, she developed a strong foundation in legal research and writing by serving as an editor for the Alberta Law Review and assisting in teaching Legal Research and Writing to first-year law students. Outside the classroom, Laura was actively involved in the University of Alberta’s Women’s Law Forum, contributing to initiatives aimed at supporting women in the legal profession.
