Malcolm J.C. Smith
Associate Counsel
Malcolm has been practicing civil litigation in BC for almost 30 years. As a young trial lawyer he developed a diverse practice including as ad-hoc Crown, and as counsel in commercial and forestry litigation. For the last 25 years his focus has been insurance defence, and personal injury litigation.
His practical, easy-going, but frank approach to communication and file handling lends itself to cooperative and efficient dealings with opposing counsel, which provides his clients with predictable, cost-effective, and successful results.
He is adept at settling most actions prior to trial, in part as a result of his reputation for transparency and fairness, but if necessary, he is a seasoned and persuasive trial counsel.
