Harold F. Turnham

Associate Counsel

Harold attended the brand new University of Victoria from 1963 to 1967, obtaining a B.A. degree, and then went to the University of British Columbia Law School from 1967 to 1970. He articled with the well-known barrister, Dermod Owen-Flood and has stayed with that firm and its successors, most recently as Turnham Woodland from 1988 until his recent move to Carfra Lawton LLP.

Harold formerly practiced in the criminal law and plaintiff personal injury fields but for the last 30 years his practice has been focused on insurance defence work, particularly for ICBC.  Harold will also take on general civil litigation and estate litigation.

Harold was born in London, England. His family moved to Barrie, Ontario in 1957. After two snowy winters there, the family (4 children) drove to Victoria in 1959. Harold attended Mt. View High School for grades ten to twelve. His high school annual says he planned to become a lawyer!
